History becomes alive and fun as the Pirate King (captain) gives commands to the crew to hoist the square sails and brace the yardarms all awhile telling stories as waves are gently lapping against the hull. Sailing along the same waters used for centuries by great sailing ships of an era gone by - Patriots, Privateers and Pirates - Oh My!

Grand Opening of Pirates Hideout
June 11, 2011
Our new Gift Shop and Ticket Office was officially opened during a fun packed ceremony. The ribbon cutting was officiated by Capt. Jack & Selectman Paul Murphy of Rockport, MA. Weather did not cooperate but our attendees had a great time meeting our special guests. Please take the time to stop by the Pirates Hideout and come sail with the “Pirates of Fun”. Capt. Russ Tryder

2012 Season is
just around the corner!

As we approach the 2012 Season Formidable’s Pirate Crew is gearing up for a fun and exciting summer. We’ve added new featured “Specialty“cruises and our crew has expanded to include members of the “Pirates of the New England Coast.” Together they bring the history of pirates alive in an entertaining and informative manner. Truly becoming 
“Pirates of Fun”
Join us as we set sail from Tuna Wharf singing “Sea Shanties” 
and as we say 
”A Pirate's Life for Me.”
